Cheerleaders lead fight against cancer

In Lifestyle by Reporter News

The Friendswood High School Cheerleaders are busy gearing up for the upcoming Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, Oct. 5.  Since early August, the girls and their families have created a campaign to promote awareness for the cancer that will affect one out of every eight women!  The squads work together under the name of “FHS Cheer 4 Change” to empower their peers and community to come together and create positive change!

The FHS Cheer 4 Change dedicates their 2013 breast cancer fundraising efforts to Friendswood Junior High School Counselor and FHS Cheer family member Stephanie Jones and her family in celebration and honor of her and all women and men who courageously battle breast cancer.  The team invites you to be a part of the efforts and walk on behalf of loved ones or in support of eradicating breast cancer, visit http://bit.ly/156K8fx to register!
