Marianne Herring, 78, of Pasadena, Texas passed away September 30, 2013. She had a very blessed, healthy life and treasured that by staying active and fit until 2 years ago when she began her battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Her faith and courageous spirit, along with her positive attitude were something to be greatly admired. She is once again comfortable and at peace.
Family members who will greatly miss her in their lives are her daughter, Janis Jeanes Buchanan and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Jenica Merrill and great-granddaughter, Kyren Merrill; Tyson and Sol Merrill and great grand-daughter, Gihanna Merrill, and Lindsey Buchanan. She lost her son, Jeff Jeanes in 2000, but has had his family, Debra Jeanes and grandson, Cody Jeanes in her life to keep his memory forever alive. She had three brothers, Earl Herring, Allan Herring and Todd Herring, who have preceded her in death, but stayed a big part of her life, as they were hard to forget, she loved them all dearly.
Marianne graduated from Milby High School and has stayed a loyal Milby Buffalo for many years staying in touch with longtime friends and classmates. Her favorite career was that of wife and mother, which she reflects was the best time of her life, raising her kids in Oak Meadows with neighbors who have also remained close friends throughout her life. She later retired from the Purchasing Department at Harris County.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor to celebrate her life on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N.
