Chancellor Ryan Davidson, 13, of Pearland, Texas, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, October 14, 2013.

Chance is survived by his devoted parents, Scott and Andrea Davidson; brother, Clay Davidson; loving grandparents, and a host of other family and friends across the country.

Chance was born on December 16, 1999 in Newport, California. His family moved to Texas in 2001 and he attended St. Thomas Episcopal School. Chance was a perennial honor student and a voracious reader. He loved music; was an accomplished bagpipe, electric guitar and piano player and was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal School Pipe Band. Chance was extremely active and loved the outdoors; playing soccer from a very young age.

In June of 2012, Chance was diagnosed with brain cancer and began a seemingly endless string of treatments and surgeries.

Throughout his treatment, his courage and positive outlook on life never wavered. Chance will forever be remembered for always being happy and outgoing, and always bring joy and inspiration to his countless family, friends and loved ones. He will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Texas Children’s Cancer Center in the memory of Chance Davidson.

The Funeral Mass for Chance will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 9:30 am at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway, Houston, Texas 77002. Following the service a private burial service will be held at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
