H. J. “Bubba” Guillot

Mr. H. J. “Bubba” Guillot a resident of Friendswood, TX for 35 years, passed away in Webster, TX, on October 27, 2013 at the age of 80.

Mr. Guillot was born in Bunkie, Louisiana, January 8, 1933 to Pierre Curtis Guillot and Maude Gremillion Guillot.

He was a graduate of Southwestern Louisiana Institute in Lafayette, Louisiana, and a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.  He was a Captain in the United States Air Force, and was the designer of the Triple S (Strategic Support Squadron) logo.  Bubba was employed by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and later owned Artmakers, Inc., a printing and design firm.  He was an avid genealogist and served as President of the Houston Genealogical Society, designed their logo, and compiled complete personal family records.

Bubba was proud of his Louisiana heritage, and particularly his chicken and sausage gumbo.

He is survived by his wife, Janet, and his children:  Deborah Fife, Cynthia Walthall, John Guillot, David Guillot and Karen Guillot, and step children Stephen Jacobs, Yvette Alverson and Scott Jacobs.  Mr. Guillot has 18 grandchildren and one great grandson.  Also survived by his twin sister Irma Guillot Carter of Colorado and many other friends and relatives.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX  77546 (281) 992-7200.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Norton officiating.  Interment will follow at the Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX.

In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity.
