Giving back to the less fortunate was the way to describe Marge; volunteering for Meals on Wheels as a driver, working and directing at the Clothing Outlet. For her community service she received the Alvin Citizen of the Year Award in 2003.

Marge was married to James Norman Taylor, Sr. for over 50 years who preceded her in death; with him she had three daughters and a son. Barbara Lenamon-Miller of Pearland TX, Glenda Swink of Uvalde TX, and Judy Hitt of Owasso, OK who were by her side in her passing. Survived by her are 7 Grandchildren; Leslie Lenamon Lauderdale, Martin Lenamon, Leigh Lenamon Davis, Sue Swink Stankos, Richard Swink, Christi Smith Wyatt and Steven Smith along with 12 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and their respective spouses. Family, service and education were the foundation of her life and she was able to witness her family graduating from high schools and universities while seeing them all grow and mature.
