Forgotten Angels received a donation of $10,000 from CommunityBank of Texas to help construct a concrete ramp and recreational area at their Day Habilitation facility in Pearland.
The donation is part of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) program. “We are honored to have our project selected by CommunityBank to receive this support” said Renee McGuire, founder of Forgotten Angels. “We’re also very thankful to Ed Slaback for nominating us for consideration.”
Forgotten Angels has been steadily adding to its Day Habilitation facility over the years as funds have been made available. The current project will provide an outdoor, concrete recreational area that will allow for more consistent use by wheelchair-bound clients.
Forgotten Angels provides residential care for individuals living with developmental, intellectual and physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular diseases, Down syndrome, autism and many other conditions. Based on individually assessed needs, they receive a comprehensive array of services including supervised living, foster/companion care, supported home living, transportation, in-home skills training, community integration, nursing, dietary planning, psychotherapy, and occupational and physical therapy.
