Pearland is 16-5 overall on the season and 3-0 in district action. The Oilers recently won the Alvin Noon Lions Club Holiday Classic Tournament beating district rival Manvel 56-53 in a very close game.

As a team, Pearland is averaging 46.3 points per game while shooting 45 percent. The Oilers average per game 20.7 rebounds, 12.9 assists, 9.0 steals, and 1.4 blocks.

To date, Sr. Jeremy Sneed leads the Oilers in scoring with 13.8 points per game followed by Jr. Robert Sneed (9.9), Sr. Avery Jordan (9.6), and Sr. Devon Begley (8.9) in a balanced scoring attack.

Pearland has beaten Pasadena (66-49), Sam Rayburn (61-45), and Alvin (49-42) for their first three district victories. The Oilers are favored to challenge for the 22-5A crown with Manvel as the other favorite.
