Heritage Christian Academy Gets New Administrator

In News by Reporter News

Introducing the new Administrator for Heritage Christian Academy in the upcoming 2014-2015 school year: Kara Marsh.

Mrs. Marsh is no stranger to Heritage Christian Academy. She has served on the school board since June of 2005 as treasurer of the school board, participating in the critical planning and growth of the school. She joined the HCA staff, teaching and directing curriculum, in August of 2009.

However, HCA was not the beginning of Mrs. Marsh’s education career. She spent four years, from 1994 to 1998, as a teacher at the Sonshine Learning Center (now Eagle Heights Christian Academy) before being promoted to the Administrator of that school in 1998. Over the following four years, she grew the school from approximately 150 children to almost 400. She also built in a working budget, pursued and was granted non-profit status for the school, and began the road to accreditation.

Responsible Christian citizens of tomorrow? Mrs. Marsh knows how to sponsor them. She took time out of her career to stay home and school her own children. Her son is now a Staff Sargent in the United States Air Force. Her daughter is currently attending Stephen F. Austin University and, if everything goes as planned, will graduate in 2017 with a dual major in Special Education and Psychology.

Kara Marsh is committed to both preserving and raising the bar for the Christian education for your children – and Heritage Christian Academy welcomes Mrs. Marsh to the Administrative role!
