Ann Melia Licari, 97, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Wednesday morning, February 26, 2014. She lived a very blessed life and was loved by all who knew her. She and her husband were avid bowlers in the 50’s. She was a homemaker. Always full of joy, she will be remembered for her contagious laughter and beautiful smile.

She is preceeded in death by her husband Jimmie Frank Licari 25 years ago; her parents, Paul Melia and Rosa Zito Melia; her brothers, Paul, John and Vincent Melia; her sisters, Mary Sacco and Rosalee Storenski and son-in-law Ronald Rex Powledge, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter Frances Powledge; son Jimmy Licari and wife Joanne; grandchildren, Kim Schwerdtfeger and husband Tracy; Ronald Rex Powledge, Jr. and wife Amanda; April Benson and husband Mark; James and Elizabeth Licari; great grandchildren, Darian and Hunter Schwerdtfeger and Andrew Rex Powledge and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Frank Kainer, Frankie Kainer, Johnny Storenski, Paul Storenski, Johnnie T. Melia and Robert F. Melia

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the rosary to begin at 7:15 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Christopher Catholic Church, 8150 Park Place Blvd., Houston, TX with Rev. Joseph Thu Le, Pastor officiating. Graveside services will follow immediately at the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, TX.
