John A. Adams, 73, of Friendswood, TX passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014. He was born on April 2, 1941 to John T. Adams and Olive Toups Adams in Houston, TX.
He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in Houston, TX. Then attended The University of Houston and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He went on to establish a successful business, Adco Technology. He married Anita K. Bigby on June 20, 1970 and together they raised a son, Benjamin Thomas Adams and a daughter, Sarah Kathryn Adams.
John loved to hunt duck and dove, and rattlesnakes in Matagorda. He traveled to Africa multiple times to hunt big game and loved to travel to Argentina to hunt doves. If you wanted to find John on a weekend, he was mowing grass, shooting, or attending a gun show. He loved to read Texas history, collect shot guns, and steam whistles. He worked really hard and complained a lot about his boss being a slave driver (he owned his own company).
He is survived by his son Benjamin Thomas Adams and his wife Erika Kristen Adams; his daughter Sarah Kathryn Adams; grandsons, Joshua Austin and Gabriel James Adams, who loved their PawPaw very much.
