Mascot Debit Cards raise $3,600

In Lifestyle by Reporter News

The Associated Credit Union of Texas (ACU of Texas) recently donated $3,622.50 to Pearland Independent School District’s Project Graduation.

ACU of Texas created the Mascot Visa Debit Card to help fund Project Graduations throughout the community.

At Pearland ISD, ACU of Texas credited 10 cents for every debit card transaction of $5 or more — ultimately raising $3,622.50 for Pearland ISD’s Project Graduation.

“The Mascot Visa Debit Cards are an easy way for the community — simply by making regular purchases — to contribute to a great event for all of our graduates,” said Trent Henley, Pearland ISD’s Project Graduation coordinator.

Since 2011, the debit cards have raised $8829.20 for Pearland ISD’s Project Graduation.

ACU of Texas offers Mascot Visa Debit Cards to students, parents, and faculty and community members. Mascot cards include Dawson Eagles, Pearland Oilers and Turner Railcats.

Students must be at least 16 years of age to qualify, and minors must apply with a parent or legal guardian.

Mascot Visa Debit Cards are available at the following ACU of Texas locations: Pearland Kroger (3245 Broadway), Pearland Randall’s (10228 Broadway) and Pearland main branch (6306 Broadway).
