Pearland Police continue to follow up leads on an armored car robbery at Walmart on North Main St.
According to reports, one of the Loomis armored transport company guards was robbed while returning to the vehicle.
One suspect, armed with a handgun, approached the guard and forced him to the ground while another suspect, armed with a long gun, took the bag the guard was carrying, according to reports. Both suspects, believed to be male, wore masks and concealing clothing.
The suspects fled southbound on Main St. in a tan Ford truck, which was later recovered just south of the Walmart at a drainage ditch; it had been reported stolen from Houston about two weeks ago, police said. Although a search of that area was done with a police canine, the suspects were not located.
