The City of Pearland received top honors in two categories in the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Bronze Quill Awards, recognizing communications excellence. The awards were received in the Publication Design category for the City’s Calendar & Annual Report, and the Electronic Communications category for the City’s monthly electronic newsletter, Pearland Connect.

“We are honored to be recognized for our work by a committee of our peers in the International Association of Business Communicators,” said Sparkle Anderson, Communications Manager. “We work hard to develop work that resonates with our residents and are extremely proud of the success of both our Calendar & Annual Report and one of our newest communications tools – Pearland Connect.”

In addition to receiving the two awards, the City of Pearland also received the coveted Best in Division award for it’s Calendar & Annual Report, which is awarded to the highest scoring entry in the division.

The City of Pearland was the only government agency to receive the award in 2014. The IABC awards program places a greater degree of emphasis on the critical steps that are required to create groundbreaking work.

In addition to the overall impact of the final product or program, IABC awards take into account the planning and strategy, as well as measurement of the audience impact.
