Rosemary Hogan Givens, 78, of Friendswood, TX passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. She was born on September 28, 1935 to Patrick Hogan and Anna Kivitt Hogan in St. Louis, MO. She married James William Givens on June 8, 1957. Rosemary loved cooking, baking, sewing, making ceramics and raising her four children and was an outstanding grandmother to her three grandchildren.

Some of the fondest memories from the grandchildren’s perspective are: Frequent visits to grandma’s house, shopping at Baybrook Mall and swimming in the make shift backyard pool. Holli remembers; Christmas time at grandma’s house was a wonderland. I would try to count the amount of tin containers full of cookies she had made, but would give up and declare I did not have enough fingers to count that high. Heather’s fondest memories were the wonderful cookies, the colorful clothes she made for herself and the “Rugrats” matching outfits she made for my sister and me. Jerome’s fondest memories are having grandma at all my sporting events and making me feel like a superstar.

Rosemary is survived by her four children, son, Don Charles Givens and his wife Cynthia Givens; daughter Dianne Lankford; daughter Roseanne Givens Scott and her husband Don Scott; grandson, Jerome Scott; daughter Kathy Reynolds and her husband Neil Reynolds; granddaughters, Heather Reynolds and Holli Reynolds.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Chaplin Bob Dees officiating. Burial will be private.
