Waynetta “Jonesy” Ross McNeil, 73, of Alvin, TX passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014.

She was born on October 5, 1940 to Wayne Ross and Floretta McCullough Ross in Artesia, New Mexico.

Jonesy was preceded in death by her parents; sister Betty Jean Ross; and nephew Ronnie Beekman.

Jonesy’s passion was spending time with her family, helping people and bringing glory to the Lord Jesus. She was generous and always ready to help when she learned of someone in need.

Her many hobbies included singing, playing the piano and guitar, sewing, quilting, jewelry making and smiling. She was a member of Believers Fellowship Church.

She is survived by her husband, James Day McNeil; her son, James Randal McNeil and wife Cindy Allen McNeil; her daughter, Terri McNeil Anderson and husband Scott Anderson; her grandchildren, James Michael McNeil and wife Cassy Elkins McNeil, Rachel Anderson and Lon Austin McNeil; great-grandchild, Laney McNeil; sisters, Paula Jones and Bonnie Kilpatrick; and many other relatives and cherished friends.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Gilligan officiating. Interment will follow at the Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, TX.

Pallbearers will include: James McNeil, Michael McNeil, Austin McNeil, Wade Smith, Brian Kilpatrick and Michael Kilpatrick.
