Friendswood’s Public Library will soon be going through an expansion and renovation as part of the City’s 2013 bond election. Improvements will include an additional 6,000 square feet of space, with an expansion of the Children/Teen areas, new meeting space, expanded computer/technology capacity, and added parking. Construction is expected to begin in early 2015.
In addition, as part of the renovation, brick pavers will be installed around the Library’s exterior. At this time, the Library is inviting you to purchase a brick paver that will be installed in either the new main Courtyard or Children’s courtyard.
The pavers are 4″ x 8″ in size. You choose the installation area and specify the personalized message to be laser-engraved and centered on the paver. All bricks will be placed randomly throughout the designated areas.
The cost for a paver is $100 for one 4″ x 8″ paver customized with up to three lines of text where each line is a maximum of 20 characters (including spaces, numbers, and punctuation.) This donation is tax deductible and all proceeds go to benefit the Friendswood Public Library.
