The Friendswood community is invited to a Science Fair and Open House at Friendswood High School, 702 Greenbriar, on Jan. 21.

The public may view students’ projects from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the first floor labs of the Math-Science Building. Those attending should enter Room 1016 for access to the labs and projects. Ribbons will be awarded to winners in each category, and will then advance to the Science and Engineering Fair of Houston competition in late February. Topics range from physics and astronomy to engineering to environmental science.

Last year, Friendswood High have nine students qualify and compete in their categories at the state level in San Antonio, and students Jamie McCullough and Roma Pradhan advanced to the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles, Calif., last May.
