Pearland Medical Center CEO, Matt Dixon, and the Pearland East Little League All Stars “Cut the Ribbon” on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the hospital’s community event. Pearland’s world renowned little league players proudly presented a shadow box with autographed items and mementos to Pearland Medical Center. After the ribbon cutting, the little league players were the first to walk through the medical exhibits that featured large-scale, educational models of a human heart and brain.

Pearland’s community residents enjoyed touring the area’s first hospital and the medical exhibits and met the talented, dedicated staff and enjoyed the music and giveaways from Sunny 99.1 FM. This was a perfect way to celebrate Pearland becoming Careland. The new $71 million, 144,000 square-foot hospital will offer a full range of acute care inpatient, outpatient and emergency care services, including surgery, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, labor and delivery and cardiac catheterization.

“This community event is a celebration for the entire community and region,” said Matt Dixon, Pearland Medical Center CEO. “We are excited to be the first hospital in the Pearland community and are committed to bringing the best health care close to home.”
