Neighborhood Scout has again named Friendswood as one of the Top 100 Safest Cities in the U.S. The latest ranking has the city at number 72. Their research revealed the 100 safest cities in America with 25,000 or more people, based on the total number of property and violent crimes per 1,000 residents. Friendswood was the only Houston-area city in the Top 100.

This year, Friendswood was again the third-highest ranked city in Texas, following Flower Mound (#19) and Keller (#45). They are both north of the DFW Metroplex.

Other Texas cities to make the Top 100 list include Leander (#75, north of Austin), Little Elm (#87 between Denton and McKinney), and new on the list, Wylie (northeast of Dallas) at number 93.
