The adopter of the first turtle to cross the finish line wins a travel voucher valued at $1,500, sponsored by Stantec. The second place prize is a $1,000 shopping spree sponsored by David and Tracy Vela, and the third place prize is an iPad valued at $500 sponsored by Ron Carter Automotive Dealerships. Several other valuable prizes will be awarded to the adopters of subsequent turtles to cross the finish line. If weather does not permit the race to take place, a drawing will be held to determine winners.
