The board functions as the district’s policy-making body, and staff carries out policies set by the board.
Completed applications for a place on the ballot – along with the required designation of campaign treasurer – can be delivered to Bobbie Dawson, superintendent’s secretary, 1928 N. Main.
Filing opened on Jan. 28, and the filing deadline is 5 p.m. Feb. 27. The last day to register to vote in the May election is March 4. Early voting will be held from April 27 to May 5.
