FJH One Act wins at UIL competition

Friendswood Junior High Theatre Arts Department won first place for their 2015 UIL One Act Play, And a Child Shall Lead.

The play, by Michael Slade, was presented at University Scholastic League (UIL) competition March 7 at La Marque High School.

Other honors included the following: Michael Donovan received Best Actor, Isabella Morrison received Best Actress, Samantha Spofford was selected to All Star Cast and Jake Henkels received Honorable Mention All Star Cast.

“Our students displayed the highest professionalism and artistry during the contest, and the results reflect that,” Director Elizabeth Creel said.

Recently, FJH students won the 7th and 8Th divisions in the UIL Academic Contest and with their total number of points, won the entire event.
