Peters Wildlife Reptiles and Iguana Races and Armadillo Races are among the scheduled entertainment lined up for this year’s annual Pearland Crawfish Festival.
The April 10-12 event has a new location this year at the Parks and Recreation grounds, 4141 Bailey Road.
Sponsored by the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau, the event benefits the Pearland ISD Education Foundation, Forever Parks Foundation of Pearland, Pearland Arts Organizations and The Houston Blues Society.
Among the live entertainment is the John Strong Sideshow, which features oddities such as a female sword swallower, fire eater and the “bed of nails.”
In addition to crawfish, a multitude of vendors will offer treats such as gourmet brownies, cheese steak, alligator, barbecue and fajitas.
A one-day admission is $8 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m .to 6 p.m. Sunday. Visit pearlandcrawfishfestival.com for more details.
