Volunteers Wanted

The volunteers play a key role in keeping the City government close to the people it serves and provides ideas, feedback and suggestions and may serve as a sounding board for proposed policy. The City of Friendswood City Council depends on the input from residents serving on Boards, Commissions and Committees. These Boards, Commissions and Committees advise the City Council, City Manager and City Staff.

Appointments are made bi-annually and as vacancies occur. Most terms are for 3 years. Applications are being accepted for the following Volunteer Commissions, Boards and Committees:

– Community and Economic Development Committee
– Construction Board of Adjustments & Appeals
– Library Board
– Planning and Zoning Commission
– Zoning Board of Adjustment

If you are interested in serving on any of these, please feel free to print a Volunteer Application from the City’s website at www.ci.friendswood.tx.us/Volunteer-Information/ or pick up one from the Friendswood City Hall, City Secretary’s Office, 910 S.
