Early voting begins for May 9 election

Early voting for the May 9 Local Election begins on April 27. This year the only districts holding elections are school districts and cities. All other districts, including some school districts and cities, were able to cancel their election because all candidates were unopposed.

Sample ballots can be seen at www.brazoriacountyvotes.com.

Ten early voting locations will be open for this election. Voters may cast a ballot at any of them, as listed below.

– Angleton Main Location, East Annex (Old Walmart), 1524 E. Mulberry
– Alvin Branch, Alvin Library, 105 S. Gordon
– Brazoria Branch, Brazoria Library, 620 S. Brooks
– Freeport Branch, Freeport Library, 410 Brazosport Blvd.
– Lake Jackson Branch, Lake Jackson Library, 250 Circle Way
– Manvel Branch, Courthouse North Annex, 7313 Corporate Dr.
– Pearland East Branch, Pearland Library, 3522 Liberty Dr.
– Pearland West Branch, Westside Event Center, 2150 Countryplace Pkwy.
– Shadow Creek Branch, Pearland Westside Library, 2803 Business Center Dr. #101
– Sweeny Branch, Sweeny Community Center, 205 W. Ashley Wilson Rd.

The hours of early voting are as follows:

– Monday, April 27 – Friday, May 1 – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
– Saturday, May 2 – 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
– Sunday, May 3 – CLOSED
– Monday, May 4 – Tuesday, May 5 – 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
