Museum hosts ‘Night Amongst Stars’

The Brazoria County Historical Museum will celebrate “A Night Amongst the Stars” at the 19th annual Father of Texas Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 25.

The 6 p.m. event will include a cocktail reception, dinner catered by On the River and a silent auction with airline tickets, Disney passes and other items.

Three outstanding community members will be recognized for their contributions in the respective areas of leadership, pioneer spirit and literature: E.J. “Joe” King, Dr. Richard Hardoin and Margaret Lewis Furse.

Tickets are $60 each or a sponsorship table for eight begins at $600. Proceeds from this year’s awards banquet will support the Museum’s mission to provide collection care, present exhibitions and innovative programming for all ages.

The banquet will be held in the 23rd district courtroom at the Brazoria County Historical Museum. 100 East Cedar, Angleton. The awards banquet is open to the public. Reserve seats by calling 979-864-1208.
