Registration for the City of Friendswood Summer Day Camp lottery for kids 6 to 13-years-old is now open for Friendswood residents.

Day Camp sessions are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for two weeks, at the Leavesley Park Hanger, 901 Buckingham Drive, Friendswood. Camp activities include arts and crafts, nature studies, scavenger hunts, swimming, and indoor and outdoor games. There is a field trip every Friday.

Session 1: June 4-June 12 $133
Session 2: June 15-June 26 $190
Session 3: June 29-July 10 $171
Session 4: July 13-July 24 $190
Session 5: July 27-August 7 $190
Session 6: August 10-August 21 $190

Families with two or more children registered for Day Camp receive a $30 discount per child, per session.

To register for the lottery, come to the Parks and Recreation Department on the second floor of City Hall, 910 S. Friendswood Dr. during regular business hours before 5 p.m., Friday, April 24. Bring a valid driver’s license, current utility bill showing your home address, proof of medical insurance coverage of the child, photo of the child, and the child’s birth certificate.

Everyone who registers will be notified of their lottery status by Monday, April 27. Those chosen to attend Day Camp must pay a $50 non-refundable fee (per session, per child) before 5 p.m., Monday, May 4, or the child’s registration will be forfeited. The balance is due one week before the first day of your child’s session.
