In News by Reporter News

Brazoria County Association for Citizens with Handicaps (BACH) will be celebrating the 34th Annual BACH Barn Bash on Saturday, June 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Brazoria County Fairgrounds in Angleton. The event is open to the public and features free children’s activities and games (pony rides, clowns, snow cones, Tom’s Fun Band, moon walk, petting zoo, Lake Jackson Police Department tricycle cop, face painting, etc.) for children, regardless of their ability or disability. Adult entertainment includes: music, live and silent auctions, and more. Catfish filet dinners with all the trimmings will be available for $15.00 a plate (children 12 and under eat free). Meal tickets are available from steering team members, at the Angleton BACH office, or may be purchased at the door.

Thanks to the generosity of numerous event sponsors, over $30,000 has already been committed to this year’s event! Sponsorships are still available. All money raised will stay in Brazoria County and will be used to provide services to children served by BACH’s Early Childhood Intervention and Support Services Programs.

For 42 years BACH has been providing aid to children with special needs in Brazoria County. BACH’s primary program is the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Program, which serves children birth to three-years-old who have developmental delays or disabilities. Services are provided on a sliding scale basis, however, services are provided regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Assistance includes family education and support, service coordination, specialized skills training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition services, speech-language pathology, and others. Children ages birth to 12-years-old participate in free recreational, support and ancillary programs provided by BACH’s Support Services Program.
