The Pearland Independent School District Education Foundation celebrated the unveiling of the Founding Donor Recognition Wall at its regular board meeting May 20.
This new permanent structure sits in the Pearland ISD Education Support Center lobby and showcases the 95 founding donors who contributed over $150,000 during the Founder’s Campaign drive.
ADDI Printing & Promotions, recently nominated as Small Business of the Year by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, designed and installed the recognition wall as an in-kind donation to the foundation.
“We feel that the Pearland ISD Education Foundation is an investment. Our children will benefit from teachers with innovative classroom ideas that can impact their future and make learning more interesting,” Drew Dietrich, co-owner of ADDI, said.
With educators in both families, Dietrich and Gareth Blackett, fellow ADDI owner, know how hard teachers work and how rarely they are recognized for their efforts. “We believe in the Pearland ISD Education Foundation and the grant awards that help teachers build a better learning environment for our children,” added Blackett.
The donor recognition wall was the perfect ending to a successful year, according to foundation president, Jeff Barry. “We are thankful for community supporters like ADDI Printing & Promotions, who invested in the establishment of the Pearland ISD Education Foundation.”
Barry continued, “We now look forward to next year with our 2nd Annual Grown-up Spelling Bee on October 22, a formal gala event to be held next spring, and another cycle of innovative teaching grants.”
