Volunteers needed for boards

Volunteers are needed for boards, commissions and committees to serve as feedback and advisory for local government, according to a City of Friendswood announcement.

Appointments are made bi-annually and as vacancies occur, and most terms are for three years. Volunteer positions include the Fourth of July Steering Committee, Community and Economic Development Committee or CEDC, Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals, Investment Committee, Keep Friendswood Beautiful Committee, Library and Parks boards, Planning and Zoning Commission and Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Volunteer applications are available on the city’s website, www.friendswood.com or at City Hall, 910 S. Friendswood Dr. during office hours Monday through Friday. Call 281-996-3270 for information.
