James “Jim” Frederick Johnson, 83, retired U.S. Marshal, entered into Heaven’s Gates on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.  He was born August 3, 1931 in El Paso TX.  His life was dedicated to law enforcement, where he served for 35 years.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Shirley; she was the love of his life.  Additionally, he is survived by his 3 children, Steve Johnson and his wife, Elizabeth, Lisa Johnson, and Barry Johnson and his wife Lisa.  He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Dustin Johnson and wife Jennifer, Meagan Johnson, Audrey Walch and husband Josh, Christopher Johnson, Kelsey Johnson and Baylor Johnson; 3 great-grandchildren, Delaney and Landon Johnson and Carter Walch; his beloved cat, Dandelion will miss him terribly.
The family is grateful to all of the amazing caregivers who have crossed his path in his journey to the Promised Land.  We are indebted beyond measure.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on July 2, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Dr. Eddie Simmons officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his honor to the U.S. Marshal Museum, 14 North 3rd St., Suite D, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
