Another listing has ranked Pearland among the best suburbs in greater Houston.

The Houston-based real estate firm, Jason’s House Inc., recently announced its “Best Houston Suburbs” list.

“Pearland’s a bit far from Houston, even for the south Houston suburbs, but the commute is definitely worth it,” Jason’s House states. “As a trade off for the long journey, Pearland has more affordable homes. The economy is developing in Pearland, and jobs within the city are becoming available. In addition to this incredible expansion, Pearland also has a very low crime rate and fantastic schools.”

Richmond was ranked No. 1, with nearby Webster coming in at No. 2 and the City of Katy, west of Houston, ranked No. 3. Manvel was ranked at No. 8.

In May, Pearland ranked at No. 20 on the “Best Houston Suburbs to Retire,” a ranking published by real estate research firm Movoto. Manvel ranked at No. 13 on that listing.

Pearland’s past list rankings include No. 48 of the top 50 Safest Cities in 2013 in Washington, D.C.-based Congressional Quarterly; and No. 4 on Movoto’s 2013 10 Most Affordable Suburbs in America list.
