Judy Ann Koehne Cooper, 60, of Houston, TX passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015.  She was born November 11, 1954 to Hermann Koehne and Julia Hilzendager Koehne in Houston, TX.
Judy graduated from Pearland High School in 1973. She attended San Jacinto Junior College prior to moving to Lubbock, TX, where she worked for the Lubbock Public School System. After three years, she returned with her husband to Houston and started a long career working at the University of Houston Law Center, serving as the assistant to Raymond Nimmer, Associate Dean. After her son’s birth, she devoted her time to family affairs. She became a PTA volunteer and spent many hours in support of Boy Scouting events on behalf of her son.  She enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Doris Smith and Debbie Koehne.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 41 years, James Cooper; son, Brian S. Cooper; father- in- law, William Cooper; brother, Frank Koehne, Jr. and wife Linda; niece, Angela Nichols and cousin Eric Smith along with many other relatives and cherished friends. 
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Pastor Charlie Quiroz officiating.
