Kelly Ray Galan, 40, of Manvel, TX passed away peacefully with his loving wife Christy by his side on Saturday, October 17, 2015.  He was born August 31, 1975 to Gary Victor Galan and Frances Ann Banks Galan in Houston, TX.

He graduated from MacArthur High School in Houston, TX.  After graduation Kelly held several different jobs, finally settling into construction and working on a tree farm.  He loved the outdoors and you could often find him fishing, mowing the property and having a burn pile.  Kelly enjoyed planting vegetables and taking care of them.  He defiantly had a green thumb and could always get something to grow.  He was very proud of the peppers he grew and the lemon tree that as of today has two lemons on it.

Kelly was preceded in death by his mother and numerous other family members.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Christy; daughters, Paige and Mykaylah; father Gary; sister Trisha and husband Wesley; brothers, Chris and Patrick; as well as many other relatives and cherished friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.  Everyone is invited after the service to Resoft County Park on County Rd 281 in Alvin to celebrate what Kelly loved to do best fishing and BBQ.

Condolences may be sent to the Galan family in care of Jeter Memorial Funeral Home at www.jeterfuneralhome.com.
