timminsThomas Philip Timmins, 72, of Friendswood, TX passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.  He was born March 31, 1943 to William Everett Timmins and Maude Thomas Timmins in Dayton, OH.
He graduated from Milton Union HS and then Hanover College. He received his MA degree from Indiana University and MBA from Auburn University.  After 10 years of teaching college, and 8 in the finance arena, he started his own medical insurance sales company.  Many will remember Tom for his love of antique cars as evidenced by membership in the Dallas Region HCCA and the Gulf Coast Region AACA. He was also a director for the Keels & Wheels Concours d’Elegance. His most recent sojourn was the New London to New Brighton Antique Car Run in MN, which they completed in August.
Tom is survived by his wife of 48 years, Evelyn, their children, Audra Timmins, M.D., Houston, and Shaun and Maria Timmins, Dallas; grandchildren, Bryce Bloom-Timmins, and Schuyler and Avery Timmins; brother and sister-in-law, Teo and Greta Albers (Chino, CA) as well as a host of wonderful nieces and nephews and their 11 children (CA); and many other relatives and cherished friends.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at the Webster Presbyterian Church, 201 West Nasa Parkway, Webster, TX 77598 with Rev. Jerry Stark officiating. A reception will follow. Interment will be held at the Forest Park East Cemetery at 2:30 P.M. in Webster, TX.
In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in his memory may be made to the MD Anderson Moon Shots Program (MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, TX  77210) or Keels & Wheels (C/O Bob Fuller, P.O. Box 156, Seabrook, TX  77586).
