KPB holds annual membership dinner

Keep Pearland Beautiful hosted the Annual Membership Meeting and Dinner on Nov. 19, 6:00 p.m. at Golfcrest Country Club. Celebrating another year of providing quality environmental education programs to the citizens of Pearland, KPB presented the 2014-15 annual report and welcomed guest speaker, Bryan Fraser.

2014-2015 Board Members were introduced to the 50 members who attended the annual meeting. Buck Stevens, Monique Wiltz, Traci Williams, Billy Jo Moffett, Debbie Cooley, Laura Austin, Linda Cowles, Kathy Duplissey and Charles McMurrey were present (Hugh Patton, Richard Eskuken, and Cassie Mitchel were not able to attend).

Bryan Fraser is the Brazoria County Director of Parks who oversees all aspects of Brazoria County’s diverse, nine-park system that offers RV and tent camping, cabin and group facility rentals, trails, 23 boat ramps and 18 miles of public beach access along the Gulf of Mexico.

Bryan spoke about the importance of getting families and especially children outdoors and the amenities and critters you can see if you visit Brazoria County Parks. He brought some special guests with him, his wife, son and a rescued hawk that stole the night!
