Thomas C. Latham, “Tommy” went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2016.  He was born in Kilgore, Texas on May 13, 1933 and soon moved to Houston.  He attended Milby High School where he met his future wife, Dora Latham.  He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served for two years and a Mason for over 50 years.  He worked at Hughes Tool Company for 36 years before retiring in 1988.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dora Latham, daughter Judy Childress and husband Tolbert, son Thomas Latham and wife Cheryl, daughter Kelly Baird and husband Don; sister Jean Carlisle; sister-in-law, Virginia Latham; grandchildren, Chris Robinson, Kacey Childress and Matt Hale, Karley Kirk and husband Kevin, Mitchell Childress and wife Heather, Marshall Childress and wife Katie, Zachary Latham, Nicholas Latham, Ross Baird and Jacob Baird; great grandchildren, Sydney Robinson, Trevor Robinson, Kolton Kirk, Kolby Kirk, and Hadley Hale. 
He was preceded in death by daughter, Cindy Wheeler and granddaughter, Kristi Robinson and grandson, Clint Childress, and brother, S.W. Latham.
Tommy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.   He was a strong family man and never missed any activities of his children and grandchildren.  You could always count on him to be the life of the party.
Services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 3:00pm at Friendswood Community Church, 2821 W. Parkwood, Friendswood, Texas 77546.  Reception will be at the church immediately following the service.
