FISD Foundation welcomes 7 new directors

Seven new directors were voted into the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation’s Board for the new 2016-2017 school year.

Tanner Baker MD, Charlotte Hall, Harris Hanson, Tracy Hopkins, Cindy Lewis, Matt McGuire, and Jennifer Yurachek attended the Strategic Planning Workshop preparing for the new year this summer and will attend their first Board meeting this month.

Baker is the Director of Anesthesia at Memorial Hermann Pearland and Assistant Director at Memorial Hermann South East. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children.

Hall has been involved in FISD activities since 2008 and is also an active member of the National Charity League. She and her husband, Kelly, have two children.

Hanson is an FHS graduate and is currently a financial advisor for Raymond James in Friendswood. He and his wife, Kaci, have one child. His mother, Sally Branson, is also a director on the Foundation board.

Hopkins has worked in marketing communications and graphic design. She and her husband, Paul, have six children.

Lewis and her husband, Slade, own Lewis Jewelers in Clear Lake. They have two children.

McGuire owns Lease Pro in Friendswood and he and his wife, Melissa, an FHS graduate, have three children.

The Foundation also welcomed two new members to the Century Club for the new year. Deena and Hitesh Patel, MD joined along with Leah and Kenneth Dirkely, MD.

The Century Club has been instituted by the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors as a donor recognition program to help the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation Endowment Fund.

The Foundation is a 501(c)3 and was founded in 1999. Since that time, the organization has given $1,170,474 to teachers, students and Friendswood schools.
