Penny Hunt Todd, 60, of Friendswood, passed away restfully on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. She was born June 22, 1956 to Preston J. Hunt and Catherine Whitaker Hunt in Houston, TX.
Penny Todd is survived by her husband, Timothy J. Turner; sons, Robert P. Todd and John P. Todd; sisters Patricia D. Killen and Carole H. Kelly; brothers Kenneth W. Hunt and Preston J. Hunt II and several nieces and nephews and extended family.
Visitation was held Monday, August 29, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.
The funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 18220 Upper Bay Rd., Houston, TX 77058 with Pastor Lonnie Gonzales officiating.  A reception followed the funeral service at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Life Center.  A private interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the “AMA Houston Chapter Penny Todd Scholarship Fund”.  The AMA Houston Chapter last week announced the naming of its annual scholarship program in honor of Penny Todd, a past chapter president and the founding chair of AMA Houston Gives Back, the chapter’s philanthropic arm.
The AMA Houston Chapter Penny Todd Scholarship will be donating scholarships in 2017 to deserving Houston-area college students majoring in marketing.
