FJH StuCo collects thousands for charity

Friendswood Junior High’s Student Council recently organized a fundraiser project to raise money for Blood Cancer research. 34 classrooms participated in Pennies for Patients Drive. The school raised over $6,000!

The classrooms fundraising results are:
– Bronze Champions (Raising $100 – $199 per classroom): Ms. Berk, Ms. Bockart, Ms. Petrovics, Ms. Van Hal, & Ms. McNeel.
– Silver Champions (Raising $200 – $299 per classroom): Ms. Kitchell, and Ms. Coyle’s class.
– Gold Champions (Raising over $300 per classroom): Coach Fausett, Mr. Abbott, Ms. McAfoos, Ms. Bischoff, Ms. Michalk, Ms. Rachita, Ms. Grice, Ms. Nemitz, and Coach Vearial.
Gold Champion and Grand Prize Winner of an Olive Garden Lunch is Mrs. Sonnier’s class for raising a total of $740,87.

FJH & the Student Council earned the honorable distinction of “Champions for Change” honor and will receive a special banner to display at the school.
