Chamber to host annual Halloween in the Park

The 17th annual Halloween in the Park is set for Sunday, Oct. 23 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Stevenson Park in Friendswood. The popular event is hosted by the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce.

The Gerland Team of Melody and Jim Gerland Residential and Commercial Real Estate is the major sponsor.

Booths will offer varieties of items and will be sponsored by Friendswood-area businesses and community members.

Booths will be provided by Allstate Agency and Judy Wiggins, Altered Images Color Salon & Day Spa, Amy Blake’s Academy of Dance, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate-Gary Greene, Chara Christian Dancy Academy LLC, Dave and Buster’s, Dentistry 4 Children, and Dunn Brothers Coffee.’

Other booths will be manned by Family Animal Hospital, First Baptist Church, Flooring Source LLC, Gateway Mortgage Group, Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Griswold Home Care, HEB, HomeTown Bank of Friendswood, Huntington Learning Center, Angela Johnson Insurance, and Keller Williams Realty-The Gerland Team.

Also offering booths will be Mambo 2 Fitness Studio, Mary Kay Cosmetics-Crista Welch, Anson Jones Masonic Lodge #1416, O’Farrell Realty Inc, Premier Nationwide Lending, Stanfield Properties, Stewart Title, Texan Bank, Texas Emergency Care, Texas First Bank Friendswood, and UTMB Pediatric Associates Adult and Specialty Care.

Candy will be available at the booths.

Due to the recent news reports regarding clown incidents, the Chamber will NOT be allowing any clown costumes at “Halloween in the Park.” This includes children, adults and animals that are wearing a costume or have their face painted as a clown – they will be escorted out of the park. For the safety of this event they will strictly enforce this request. Please help spread the word to anyone you know that will be attending “Halloween in the Park.” The Chamber wants to keep this a fun and safe event for everyone.
