Halloween favorites such as the Trick or Treat Trail will take place this month along with a new event for families on Saturday, Oct. 29.
The first-ever “Zombie Fun Run” will be held by the city, and will include a 1.5-mile course maneuvering through obstacles and zombies to the finish line. Drinks, snacks and prizes are included in the $25 registration fee, and the event begins at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Sports Complex, 3901 Veterans Dr. On-site registration will be $30.
The popular Trick or Treat Trail takes place on Monday, Oct. 31, at the same location, 3901 Veterans Dr.
For the 14th year, this trick or treating alternative will include a costume contest, food, music, inflatables and a “trail” of businesses and organizations that set up trick or treating booths. Attendance and booth space at this event are free, but exhibitor packets must be turned in by Oct. 24.
