Russell “Russ” J. Hagan, 47, of Friendswood, Texas passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at home surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born May 20, 1969 to Mildred Svoboda Hagan and the late Robert Hagan in Cleveland, Ohio.

He shares his heavenly life with his niece Arianna Grace Marsicek, father Robert Hagan, and beloved grandparents John and Anna Svoboda and Jerry and Margaret Hagan.

He is survived by his wife Aurora, son Robert Gerard Hagan and daughter Isabella Angelita Hagan; mother Mildred Hagan (Bert Braun), mother-in-law Angelita Garza and father-in-law Salvador Garza; sister Michelle Marsicek (Karl), sister-in-law Celia Garza and brother-in-laws Sal Garza and Eugene Garza. Ever dedicated uncle to nieces Alexis Garza, Elise Marsicek and Katelynn Garza; and nephews Michael Garza, Max Marsicek, Josh Garza, and Erik Marsicek.

Nephew to Robert Svoboda, Maryann (Mike) Craft, the late Janet (George) Yanos, Nancy (Raymond) Miller and Claire (Phil) DeMarne. Beloved cousin to their children and the Garza cousins. He will be missed by many family, friends and his loyal dogs Lila and Phoebe.

We will remember his easy smile, straightforward style, unfaltering support of the Cleveland Browns, well-honed BBQ skills and ability to fix or build anything.

The family would like to thank the compassionate hospice and home care nurses, and cousin Gloria Cuellar for the kindness and devotion as he earned his final wings.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a rosary to begin at 7:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546. Interment will follow at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX.
