Nearly 65,000 Brazoria County residents cast ballots during the first week of early voting in the Nov. 8 election, with the highest number each day at the Pearland East location.
According to county documents, 11,728 voted during the first week at the East Pearland site, 8,161 voted in West Pearland and 7,164 voted in Shadow Creek Ranch.
Early voting continues through Nov. 4 at the Tom Reid Library, 3522 Liberty Dr., Westside Event Center, 2150 Countryplace Parkway and Westside Library, 2803 Business Center Dr.
The 2016 presidential election that includes an alcohol sales local option election and $220 million school bond referendum in Pearland takes place Tuesday. In Brazoria County, voters on election day can go to any “vote center” throughout the county to cast a ballot.
In Pearland, election day vote centers include Drainage District No. 4, 4813 W. Broadway; Emerald Bay Recreation Center, 11814 N. Clear Lake Loop; First Church of Pearland, 1850 E. Broadway; Church of Christ Annex, 2217 N. Grand Blvd.; Westside Library; Shadycrest Baptist Church, 3017 Yost Blvd.; Silverlake Recreation Center, 2715 Southwyck Parkway; Southwyck Golf Club, 2901 Clubhouse Dr.; Reid Library; Turner High, 4717 Bailey Road; and Westside Event Center.
PISD’s first bond election in 10 years would fund renovations at six aging PISD campuses as well as additions, technology upgrades and security features such as fencing, entrances and cameras. The maximum tax impact of the bond package has been estimated at 7 cents per $100 of valuation.
