Brian Jay Grimes, of Dickinson, TX, died tragically on October 26, 2016. He was 53. Brian was born September 9, 1963 in Houston, TX. He graduated from Alvin High School in 1982. He was a loving father to his daughter, Briana. A kind man and friend to many, Brian managed Larry Grimes Interests, Inc. where he enjoyed fabricating clamps to seal chemical and process leaks in the petrochemical, refinery, electrical, paper, shipping, and food service industries. An avid hunter, Brian enjoyed black powder, bow, and rifle seasons. He was also a strong fisherman and enjoyed creating gifts and keepsakes through wood-burning. He will be greatly missed.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Briana Grimes; his parents, Larry and Marie Grimes; siblings, Bernie Grimes and his wife Diana Grimes, Bruce Grimes and his wife Theresa Grimes, and Christie Grimes Topping and her husband Brian Topping; 5 nieces and nephews and 4 cousins; and many other relatives and cherished friends.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a rosary led by Alan Stanton at 7:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.
A Funeral Mass offered by Father Martin Nelson will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 110 E. South St., Alvin, TX 77511 on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10:00 A.M., with a graveside service to follow at South Park Resurrection Cemetery in Pearland.
Pallbearers will include Samuel Clark, Robert Delancy, Jimmy Esquivel, Paul Hickman, Scott Kemmis, and Craig Pace.
