Janet Lynn Hayes, 50, of Houston, Texas passed away at her home Monday, November 28, 2016. Born December 7, 1965 to Marshall and Vicki Hayes, Janet lived in Houston until the age of 13, when her family moved to Friendswood.

A 1984 Graduate of Friendswood High School, Janet attended Sam Houston State University but decided to join the work force before graduating. Raised with a strong work ethic, Janet found that her organizational skills, ability to talk to people, and desire to solve problems helped her to achieve many goals throughout her years in industrial sales.

Though Janet loved meeting the challenges of her career, her greatest accomplishments came in 2000 with the birth of her daughter, Megan Renee, and in 2001 with the birth of her son, Reagan Steven.

Janet loved to duck hunt with her dad, ride motorcycles with friends, and work with her hands making crafts and refinishing furniture, but her favorite pastimes were always…fishing and spending time with her kids.

Preceded in death by her father, Marshall Hayes, Jr., Janet is survived by her mother, Vicki Hayes; children, Megan and Reagan Hayes; brother Glenn Hayes and wife Kim; sister Christy Montano and husband Marq; nieces, Jordan, Jenna and Jalynn Hayes; nephews Michael and Mason Montano, and Jeffery Wagen; great niece Kennedy Wagen; and great nephew Bentley Montano.

Services were held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, Friendswood, Texas.

Condolences may be sent to the Hayes family in care of Jeter Memorial Funeral Home at www.jeterfuneralhome.com.
