The annual “Dunes Day” Christmas tree recycling project that also preserves local beaches is again accepting trees.

Trees may be dropped off at the Stella Roberts Recycling Center, 5800 Magnolia Dr., during operating hours only. Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Trees will be accepted until Jan. 13.

Trees for the Dunes Project can also be dropped off in Manvel at the Brazoria County Precinct 2 Work Yard, 7315 Corporate Dr. That facility is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Work Yard is approximately 2 miles east of the State Highway 288 and State Highway 6 intersection, behind the Brazoria County Service Center. There is a cable link fence surrounding the Work Yard, with a gate that is unlocked during operating hours.
