KIPPERS (Kids in Pearland Preserving the Environment by Responsible Service) and their families are attending their first tour of the Pearland Recycling Center Feb. 4 at 8 a.m. The tour of the Stella Roberts Recycling Center is sponsored by Keep Pearland Beautiful.

The youth and their families will watch a short video on how recycling works. They will also tour the center to learn how dropping items off at the center works as part of the city recycling program.

KPB in collaboration with Pearland ISD supports the KIPPER clubs at the district’s middle schools. The members of the clubs are 10-12 years old.

KIPPERS participate in campus activities and work to educate those around them to be more environmentally responsible in their lives.

The KIPPERS groups help host the Community Wide Environmental Fair each year with KPB.

The Recycling Center is located at 5800 Magnolia in Pearland.

Keep Pearland Beautiful is a 502 (c)3 non-profit environmental organization affiliated with Keep Texas Beautiful Inc. and Keep America Beautiful Inc.

The vision of KPB is that Pearland will be the cleanest and most beautiful city in Texas.
