Dogs, owners invited to Paws in the Park for two and four legged events

Dogs and their owners in Pearland should mark their calendars for the 23rd annual Paws in the Park set for March 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Veterans Sports Complex in Pearland.

Paws in the Park is for all ages with free admission and free on-site parking.

The day, presented by Westside Veterinary Hospital, kicks off with the H-E-B Pet and Owner Fun Run. This year the run will include a 1k, 3k and 5k races.

Pet owners can run with or without their dogs.

Runners need to register online at Active.com. Applications are also available at the Parks and Recreation Office at 4141 Bailey Road during normal office hours.

Race results will include an overall finish list and age group results.

It is followed by the National Dock Diving competition.

Other activities include demonstrations, pet exhibitors and food vendors.

For health and safety reasons, pets must remain on a leash throughout the events.

Veterans Sports Complex is located at 4141 Bailey Road. Free parking will take place at Turner Career and College High School at 4719 Bailey Road.
