Country music traditionalist and Houston native Josh Ward is coming to Friendswood to perform in the second annual Texas Music Fest March 4. The event celebrates Texas Independence Day and runs from 2 – 9 p.m.
Hosted by the Friends of Downtown Friendswood Association, the event in its second year returns to its original venue at Captain’s Corner Shopping Center at the corner of FM 2351 and FM 518.
Musical entertainment is the highlight of the event.
Ward’s live show and his music are compared to true Honky-Tonk loving and leaving themed songs. In 2013 Ward was named the Texas Regional Radio New Male Vocalist of the Year. In 2016 Ward won the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards Song of the Year for “Whiskey & Whitley.”
He has produced three albums with the latest one, Holding Me Together having three number one singles with “Highway,” “Whiskey & Whitley” and “Somewhere Between Right & Wrong.”
Tickets for the event in Friendswood are available now online.
General admission is $10 for adults with children 12 and under are free.
